Home Brew Recipe Kit for a Saison Farmhouse Ale.

Saisons originated in Wallonia in southern Belgium. In French, Saison means “season.” This style is deep gold in color while having earthy and fruity aromatics.

This recipe is a classic example of the Saison style with a NZ twist, the combination of fruity and spicy flavors are the main players. Soft malt characters, some alcohol presence and mild sourness supported by the citrus from the Nelson Sauvin hops. The yeast is the main player in creating the spicy character and peppery phenols along with other spices.
